I have purschase two pairs of Chi after a few years, I find myself purshasing another pair, cause they stop working an im paying over an 100 bucks love the iron but hate they really don't last as long as they should for that kind of money....

The chi original 1" is my all time favorite iron. It never burns my hair, heats up very fast, and my hair stays straight and smooth for a long time. very happy with it.

I just bought my first CHI flat iron yesterday-the basic 1 inch black one because it was on sale and I was tired of using the cheap flat irons that I have been purchasing for the past 4-5 years that i have never been fully pleased with and have left me unhappy with my hair. I just flat ironed my hair for the first time using my first CHI flat iron and WOW I am amazed with the results! My hair feels and looks silky smooth...not rough and dry and blah like it did after I would flat iron it with a cheap flat iron I purchased from walmart. I LOVE how my hair looks and feels right now. I have read reviews on the CHI and some I noticed were bad...saying it has fried some peoples hair and that it breaks a lot and stuff...and if it breaks after a years time i pay 35 dollars for a new one..I heard to unplug it AS SOON as ur done flat ironing, so I did that, and once a week to clean with rubbing alcohol...so I will do that once a week as well. I am very happy with the results and hope that it lasts a long time....If it is frying ur hair id reccomend shampooing and coditioning before use either the previous night or right before...and then adding a leave in conditioner to the hair while it is damp and before u blow dry ur hair...then blow dry.....then apply a iron protector to ur hair after u seperate ur hair into sections to flat iron..this will protect the hair from becoming fried, from frizz and fly aways, and will help add shine to your hair....I reccomend CHI Iron Guard...I just purchased this yesterday and used it today before I flat ironed and it did wonders!!! Hope this helps...
